Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) report, March 20, 2023
Keeping warming to 1.5°C above pre-industrial levels requires deep and sustained greenhouse gas emissions reductions. Emissions must be cut by almost half by 2030.
Accelerated action to adapt to climate change is essential to close the gap between existing adaptation and what is needed. Keeping warming to 1.5°C above pre-industrial levels requires deep and sustained greenhouse gas emissions reductions in all sectors. Emissions should be decreasing will need to be cut by almost half by 2030, to limit warming to 1.5°C.
My Recommendation: The science is increasingly clear. Emissions need to be cut. The report makes for disturbing, yet essential, reading to get the full perspective on climate change.
